Shipping & Return Goods Policy


Hutchins & Hutchins, Inc. will provide formal quotations on special products or orders based on specifications provided by the Buyer. All freight quotes are estimated, final cost will be determined at the time the shipment is made.


Shipping is FOB unless otherwise instructed. The Buyer is responsible for all shipping fees, title to the products and risk of loss once the product leaves Hutchins & Hutchins, Inc. facility.

Hutchins & Hutchins, Inc. is experienced in proper packaging and shipping practices, proper documentation of import and export materials and selection of quality carriers. We will provide the fastest, quality and most cost effective service. However, buyer may select their preferred carrier on Collect Shipments.

Generally, additional handling fees are not included in the purchase price. In the event of time critical shipments, delicate equipment requiring special packaging, crating, etc. an additional fee may be incurred.

Export orders are handled separately. For international orders, shipping fees, documentation fees and any other special package requirements will be prepaid and added to the invoice.


Projected ship/delivery dates are based on availability of products, quantity of products, destination, Supplier backlog, etc. As such, Hutchins & Hutchins, Inc. will make every effort to meet specified delivery dates. However, we assume no responsibility for any loss or inconvenience caused by a delayed or failed delivery.

Force majeure: Hutchins & Hutchins, Inc. will not be liable for any failures or delays due to strikes, actions of any governmental authority, war, riots, natural disasters – earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, fire, shortages of labor, raw materials, production facility or transportation issues.


Shortage, Overage, Damage, Incorrect Product, Concealed Damage, etc.

All shipments must be inspected by the Buyer upon receipt. Any discrepancy must be noted at the time of receipt and documented on the freight receiving paperwork with the freight driver.

Discrepancies specific to shortage, overage, incorrect product and concealed damage must be reported to Hutchins & Hutchins, Inc. within 12 hours of receipt. Photographs will be required to pursue a claim.

Discrepancies specific to obvious outer damage must be reported to the freight carrier immediately to pursue your claim.

Hutchins & Hutchins, Inc. ensures defect free product when leaving its facility. We cannot assume responsibility for product damaged in transit. If you sign the Bill of Lading or any shipping paperwork and have not documented defects or deviations with your order, you are signing you have received your order defect free. This relieves the freight carrier and Hutchins & Hutchins, Inc. of any responsibility thereafter.


Any requests to return product to Hutchins & Hutchins, Inc. must have approval and be documented on a Return Goods Authorization form (RGA). RGA must be completed in order to receive credit. Requests cannot be on orders exceeding 30 days from the invoice date. Product must be in original unopened cartons. Buyer must pay freight charges to have approved product returned. A 25% handling/restocking fee will be imposed. (If product was shipped direct from the Supplier, Supplier’s return policy will be honored).

Returns due to defects will be evaluated and any defects determined to be caused by Hutchins & Hutchins, Inc. will result in either a replacement or credit.


  • Products not purchased from Hutchins & Hutchins, Inc.
  • Custom designed, specialty ordered products.
  • Products outside of 30 days from the invoice date.
  • Products with an expiration date of 10 months or less, expired or discontinued products.
  • Opened, used or partial containers.
  • Hazardous chemicals.
  • Refrigerated, frozen or temperature controlled products.

Hutchins & Hutchins, Inc. reserves the right to accept or reject any order in whole or in part. By placing an order, Buyer accepts these terms and conditions of sale.
